I am predicting that in the next few years there will be plenty of exciting prospects, and opportunities coming our way,  knocking on our door. One way to ensure that will happen and that we are ready, is by providing an economic benefit to attract those opportunities and prospects. In 1909, Medicine Hat was a major manufacturing centre. Why? Because we had cheap natural gas.  Methanex has commenced operations again after ten years. Canada Fertilizer and Cancarb remain here.  Why?  Because we have cheap natural gas. Selling our natural gas to manufacturers will entice them to stay, and our leverage to encouarge new ones to locate in our community.
