Musa Zadika Beyom, the genre-defying musician, entrepreneur, and cultural visionary, has announced the upcoming release of a star-studded compilation album slated to drop later this year. The project will feature an exciting lineup of Grammy-winning artists, nominees, and rising voices, making it one of the most anticipated collaborations of the year.
But that’s not all—Musa is also stepping into the world of fashion with a new clothing brand that’s already creating a buzz across both music and style scenes.
From Brooklyn to the World: A Voice Rooted in Culture
Born Ashanti Wiggins and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Beyom was heavily influenced by his father, Rob Wiggins, a touring musician with The Drifters and a member of BT Express. That early exposure ignited a lifelong passion for music that would eventually evolve into his signature sound—PopSoul, a genre he describes as the fusion of cultural storytelling with soulful modern energy.
Beyom is also known for his deep ancestral roots. As the fourth-generation grandson of King Jaja of Opobo, the last ruler of the unified Bani people in West Africa, he is recognized as the Rabisheikh (Chief Sheikh/Sultan) and Crown Prince of the Izhaki Tribe. His tribal name, Anani, reflects a heritage that continues to inform every layer of his work.
The Music: A Cultural Compilation for 2025
Musa’s upcoming compilation album will spotlight both emerging and established talent, weaving together Afrobeat, PopSoul, hip-hop, gospel, and more. His previous projects, including the 2024 album Zerubabel and chart-climbing singles like “Psalms 30,” “Viva La Resistance,” and “DOTW (Dirge of the West)”, have established him as a voice of artistic depth and spiritual clarity.
“This compilation is about unifying voices,” Musa shared. “It’s a sound journey connecting generations, nations, and soul vibrations.”
The Fashion: Where Urban Meets Tradition
In addition to music, Beyom is making waves with the launch of a new fashion brand designed to blend urban aesthetics with traditional tribal design elements. The yet-to-be-named brand is already gaining traction in fashion-forward music circles, offering bold silhouettes, symbolic patterns, and a message of cultural pride.
The fashion line, much like his music, seeks to bridge past and present—bringing tribal motifs, earth tones, and ancestral symbology into the streetwear conversation.
Expect collaborations with stylists, music video placements, and limited drops tied to the release of the compilation album.
Building Legacy Through Business & Culture
Beyom continues to expand his creative empire with:
- Memra Media Group, a digital PR and radio promotions company
- South Tune Records, an independent music label
- Sons of the Negev, a charitable trust co-founded with Sheikh Ayied Alabeed to rebuild ancient tribal villages and preserve African customs
Together, these ventures embody Beyom’s vision of using creativity to inspire, empower, and uplift communities around the world.
