16-Year-Old Giselle Niemand Set to Take the Paris Fashion Week Runway

Johannesburg, South Africa – South African teenager Giselle Niemand is set to take another major step in her international modelling career when she heads to Paris for Fashion Week in October.

At just 16, Giselle, who is also a singer, songwriter, actress and dancer, will be among the South African models participating in the Africa In Paris showcase, presented by Africa Fashion Week in collaboration with Noir Fashion Week Paris.

The showcase will take place from 2 to 4 October 2026, bringing African fashion and creative talent to one of the world’s most recognised fashion capitals.

Giselle will walk for New Romantics Couture, representing the South African fashion house on the international runway. The opportunity follows the brand’s success at Africa Fashion Week last year, where it secured the opportunity to showcase internationally.

For Giselle, the Paris appearance adds another international fashion milestone to a growing portfolio. She has previously walked at New York Fashion Week, while also building experience as a performer across international markets.

Her journey to Paris will begin in Germany, where she is scheduled to travel next week before continuing to France for Fashion Week.

However, Paris will not be the final stop on her October itinerary.

On 5 October, just days after her Paris Fashion Week appearance, Giselle is scheduled to travel to Seoul, South Korea, where she will perform at the 2026 Itaewon World Music Spirit Festival.

She was invited to the festival’s final round after organisers reviewed her submitted performance material during the preliminary screening process. She is expected to perform alongside artists from different countries.

The festival will also include accommodation, sightseeing and a VIP package featuring Korean beauty and food products, with Giselle’s performance expected to be filmed and produced for international distribution.

Her upcoming Paris appearance highlights the increasingly international direction of Giselle’s career. Moving between music, fashion, acting, modelling and dance, she continues to pursue opportunities that place South African talent on international platforms.

From the Paris runway to a music stage in Seoul, October promises to be another significant chapter in the 16-year-old’s international journey.
